We are a member-owned full-service financial cooperative (nonprofit organization) open to all federal government employees, contractors, and their families in the Washington, DC area.
We were officially established on February 18, 1944. Our credit union was started by a group of employees who worked at the Army Map Service Agency aka National Geospatial Agency. The name of the credit union has changed a number of times over the past few decades; we were originally known as Army Map Service Employees Federal Credit Union. In 1995, the name was changed to Constellation Federal Credit Union and reflects NGA's role in satellite mapping. As always, through years of change and growth, our members remain to be our greatest asset!
Currently, we also have 5,000+ US Shared Branches to serve our members wherever they might live, work, or travel.
